Empowering Educators Through the Integration of Ancient Indian Wisdom
Abstract: In today's fast-paced world of technological innovation and shifting educational paradigms, there is a growing need to reconnect with the profound insights of ancient Indian philosophy. This paper delves into how foundational concepts from the Vedas, Upanishads, and the teachings of revered scholars such as Chanakya and Swami Vivekananda can be harnessed to revitalize modern educational practices. By integrating timeless ethical values, introspective practices, and holistic worldviews with current pedagogical approaches, educators can enhance their role as facilitators of comprehensive student growth. The research underscores the importance of infusing teacher education programs with elements of traditional wisdom, enabling educators to go beyond knowledge dissemination to become guides rooted in cultural heritage. Such a model advocates for an education system that is not only intellectually robust but also emotionally and ethically grounded, ultimately contributing to the development of conscious, compassionate, and capable individuals.
