Homoeopathy as a Non-Invasive Approach in Pediatric Hydrocele: Case Report of a 3-Year-Old Child

Dr. R. Gokul, Dr. G. Bhuvaneswari

Abstract: Hydrocele is a common pediatric condition characterized by painless scrotal swelling due to the accumulation of fluid within the tunica vaginalis. Surgical correction is the conventional treatment in persistent cases; however, non-invasive approaches are increasingly sought by parents concerned about operative risks in children. This case report documents the successful management of congenital hydrocele in a 3-year-old male child with individualized homoeopathic medicine. After detailed case-taking and repertorization, Rhododendron was prescribed. Follow-up demonstrated progressive reduction in scrotal swelling, with complete resolution over three months, without surgical intervention. This case highlights the potential role of homoeopathy in pediatric hydrocele management.
