Slow Tourism and Local Development as Agents of Revaluation of Cultural and Natural Heritage in Lacandonas Communities, Community Case: Lacanja Chansayab
Abstract: The purpose of this research was to analyze the importance of conservation and revaluation of cultural elements and activities in Lacanja, Chiapas. From the implementation of slow tourism, it is evident that well-implemented tourism projects can rescue, protect and disseminate the wealth that Lacanja houses with positive consequences. It is highlighted that the Lacandon community has managed to learn that the conservation of their culture is essential to continue perceiving and receiving tourist activity and that there is no better way to transmit it than themselves.
