Modeling of Heat Transfer through Furnace Insulation and its Computational Solution
Aditya Mathur
Abstract: Proper design of furnace insulation is imperative both for cutting operating costs and to minimize their carbon footprint. A model for heat losses through the furnace insulation has been developed and the equations have been solved computationally using Newton-Raphson method.
