Abstract: This paper describes the pilot application of a Dyslexia Test, developed as a comprehensive assessment tool. The test assesses learning difficulties which reflect the main symptoms of SDD in children between 7-12 years. The results showed that the task difficulty index ranged between 76 % and 7 %, Cronbachs index of the tasks was =653 and all the sub-tests were found to be strong indicators of the SDD profile. In conclusion, the pilot application of the proposed Dyslexia Test diagnostic tool demonstrated a high degree of reliability and validity, rendering the standardization of the test as indispensable for completing this research.
