Functions of Dawro Proverbs

Abstract: This research was conducted to assess to assess functions of Dawro proverbs. The proverbs with nearly similar functions were grouped and analyzed. Explorative method is used in the study. To keep the original meaning and beauty of the proverbs, great effort was made, and when possible, English counterparts were used. Finally, it was concluded that Proverbs are performed for a particular purpose in order to bear a desired function.
