Synthesis of New Manganese (II) and Lanthanum (III)Tetrasubtituted Phthalocyanine

Abstract: To synthesized and evaluate the variation of the properties of phthalocyanines with both the position of the substituents and the type of metal used for coordination, tetrasubstituted manganese, and lanthanum, phthalocyanines bearing 7-hydroxycoumarin as substituents were synthesized by the cyclotetramerization reaction of the synthesized 1, 3-diiminoisoindoline. The structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by a combination of 1H NMR, UV-Vis, and FT-IR spectrophotometry.
