Efficient Signal Detection Techniques in TV White Space using Cognitive Radio

Chitra Sapkal | S. D. Borde

Abstract: TV white space is the unused TV spectrum which can be used by secondary users to solve the problem of spectrum scarcity and to increase its efficiency. All DTT signals use OFDM, but they many employ different sets of pilot carriers, guard intervals and symbol sizes. The proposed algorithms aim to detect CR signal with reasonable detection performance in TV white space. First algorithm is based on cyclo-stationary feature detection and second algorithm is based on energy detection.
