Abstract: The existing technologies that are used for generation of electricity work on the fundamental principle of converting mechanical energy into electrical output. The source of generating the mechanical output varies. Electricity generated from nuclear, thermal, wind, hydro are the most prominent sources used in present time for generating electricity. The concept proposed and discussed in this paper also fundamentally converts mechanical output to generate an electrical output to power an LED source. The major difference is that it uses gravity as an input. The mechanism operates on gravitational force which is converted into an electrical output that powers an LED source key words renewable energy, gravitational force, light generating mechanisms
