Adrenal Hematoma in Pregnancy
Sangeeta Pahwa | Tavleen Kaur [2]
Abstract: Spontaneous adrenal hemorrhage (SAH) is a serious medical condition associated with variable clinical presentation depending on the extent of the hemorrhage. It is seen in absence of trauma or adrenal tumor. the incidence of SAH has been reported from 0.14 to 1.1 % and usually involves right gland. Pregnancy induced adrenal hemorrhage is poorly understood and is very rarely seen. Due to its potentially life-threatening complications, physicians should have high suscipion for adrenal hemorrhage when they evaluate patients with hypotension, fatique and abdominal pain during antenatal period.
