The Effects of Food Aid on the Attitude and Practice of the Pokot People (of East Pokot District) Towards their Own Food Sovereignty

Over ten million people in Kenya suffer from chronic food insecurity and poor nutrition. Between two to four million people require emergency food assistance at any given time. This study sought to find out the effects of Food aid on the attitude and practice of the people of East Pokot district towards their own Food Sovereignty. A descriptive research design was used.. It was found out that Food Aid has had a debilitating negative effect on the attitude and practice of the people of East Pokot district towards their own food Sovereignty.
