Figure-Ground Segmentation Techniques

Image segmentation is the process of dividing an image into multiple segments, such that the representation of an image changes, which makes analysis of image easier. Figure-ground segmentation deals with segmenting out foreground objects from background. This paper describes the different figure-ground segmentation techniques. This paper deals with survey of various figure-ground segmentation techniques and efficient approaches for object recognition.
