A Case Report of Sjogrens Syndrome

Abstract: Sjogrens syndrome is an autoimmune disorder characterized by dry eyes (kerato conjunctivitis sicca), dry mouth (xerostomia) and glandular destruction ( parotid and lacrimal glands). Sjogrens syndrome may be primary or secondary. On examination, parotid glad appears soft and swollen. Radiological imaging shows enlarged gland with multiple internal cystic areas. Histological examination of gland shows lymphocytic infiltration.
