Efficacy of Quercus infectoria Oliv. Galls in the Management of Uterovaginal Prolapse: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Aim- To evaluate the efficacy of Quercus infectoria Oliv. galls in first and second degree uterovaginal prolapse and to assess the improvement in the quality of life of women. Methodology- test group (n=30) was given powder of Quercus infctoria Olivier galls for sitz bath and control group (n=30) was given placebo. Both groups were advised Kegels exercise in addition. Results- Significant results obtained. Conclusion- Galls of Quercus infectoria are effective in improving the uterovaginal prolapse as well as quality of life of women. It can serve as an alternative treatment in the management of uterovaginal prolapse.
