Comparative Analysis of Concenrically Braced Frame, Eccentrically Braced Frame and Moment Resisting Frame of Steel

Abstract: In framed structure, most commonly used system to resist seismic forces are concentrically braced, eccentrically braced and moment resisting frames. This study shows the behavior of these frames and also describes their seismic requirement for the purpose of design making. For the study three frames of 3, 6 and 9 storey are assumed. The comparative study is done for different zones as per Indian code of practice IS 8002007 and IS 1893 (Part -1) 2002 are used for loading conditions and STAAD PRO V8i software is used for analysis of frames.
