Variable Voltage Variable Frequency Drive for Single-Phase Motor and its Application

In this paper, the design & implementation variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) drives scheme base on sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technique for a single-phase induction motor. The main objective was to evaluate the popular variable speed drive schemes as they operate in their most efficient mode of under different loading conditions. The considered schemes included phase control, variable frequency drives, voltage control and also, with the mathematical expression. The VVVF technique used extensively in the industry as it provides the accuracy required at minimal cost.
