The study tried to examine the causes of women unemployment such as level of education, marital status and rural- urban migration from the surrounding area to urban centers of Dire Dawa particularly to Genda Tesfa sub-quarter. The researcher found that peoples who were migrated from rural areas of Hararghe to the sub- quarter of Genda Tesfa was that majority of the migrants Afan Oromo speakers, and the peoples of Genda Tesfa too speak Afan Oromo. The researcher used both primary and secondary sources of data to explore the causes for women unemployment and obscurity in Genda Tesfa sub-quarter. Anthropologists need to have a concern about the ethical consideration for the society under study (the host society).
